Father Renier Siva was born to Mr. Paquito N. Siva and Mrs. Leonor A. Casquete in the central part of the Philippines, specifically Panay Island. He has four brothers and one sister, all living in the Philippines.
Fr. Renier started his seminary studies in Manila with the Order of St. Camillus, now known as Ministry to the Infirm (MI) and earned his BA in Philosophy, minor in English. In August of the year 2000, he came to the U.S. to continue his Theology studies at Mt. Angel Seminary run by the Benedictines up in Oregon and graduated with the degree of Masters in Divinity. He was ordained to the priesthood on May 30, 2005. Fr. Renier loves playing all kinds of ballgames, especially basketball and lawn tennis. His favorite scripture quote is: “Unless a grain of wheat falls to the ground and dies, it remains just a grain of wheat...”
