'Tis the season to be generous and help our less fortunate brothers and sisters, or the various ministries and organizations that serve them. Here are some of the opportunities for holiday giving and receiving offered by SS. Peter & Paul parish.
Loomis Food Basin Christmas Basket Program
You are invited to bring non-perishable food items and monetary gifts to the 8:30 a.m. mass on Thanksgiving Day. You may also leave non-perishable food items in the social hall until mid-December. Donations will be made to the Loomis Basin Christmas Basket Program which serves the needy in Rocklin, Loomis, Newcastle, and Penryn. If you would like more information, please the parish office at 624-5827 ext. 201.
You are invited to take an ornament from The Giving Tree in the Social Hall, purchase the gift noted on the ornament, and then return the
unwrapped gift in a gift bag with the gift tag attached to the Social Hall
no later thanthe date specified in the Sunday bulletin. Agencies to be served are: Lazarus Project, Mother Teresa Maternity Home, Peace for Families, Placer County Children's Receiving Home, St. Vincent de Paul Society, WWJD, Home Start, and HEAD Start. Christmas Bake Sale (Click HERE for more information)
The Ladies Guild of our parish will be selling delicious baked goods and other items for Christmas giving and decoration. Proceeds will benefit teh charitable programs of the Ladies Guild. Be sure to stop by the Social Hall and help them out!
Assist-A-Family Program (Click HERE to sign up to HELP a family)
You are invited to help an entire family this Christmas by purchasing a grocery gift card (valued at $100) and a couple of gifts per person in the family. The typical cost to help a family of 4 is $350. We encourage families, businesses, and neighbors to work together to assist a family.
