I have been a parishioner at SS Peter and Paul for 15 years. I am blessed and overjoyed to be serving the community here at SS Peter and Paul Church as the Bookkeeping Assistant.
I was born in Sacramento and grew up in Roseville. After graduating high school, I went to work for Hewlett-Packard and attended Sierra College part-time. I have two sisters whom both live in Colorado and my parents still live in Roseville in the house in which I was raised. I was very fortunate to be raised around a large extended family.
In 1988 I met my husband, Mark, through some friends at HP. He was living in Livermore, CA. at the time so we were doing a lot of driving. In 1990 Mark and I were married and I moved to Livermore. In 1994 Mark accepted a job for Hewlett-Packard in Roseville, so we were able to move back home to the Roseville area. We finally settled in Loomis in 1996. God has blessed us with three amazing children, Tyler, Michelle and Megan.
My Catholic faith formation began after the birth of my son. Knowing that I would be raising him Catholic, I was moved to learn more about Catholicism. I began attending RCIA classes at St. Michaels in Livermore and knew that becoming Catholic was something I wanted for myself. I was fully initiated into the Church in 1993. I continued growing in my faith by volunteering as a Faith Formation Catechist at SS Peter and Paul for the last 15 years. I have learned so much about our faith by being in the classroom teaching. I hope I have touched the lives of my students as much as they have touched mine. Their thought-provoking questions kept me on my toes and no doubt helped me become a better teacher.
In my spare time, I enjoy being with my family and friends and reading. I love helping people and while I will miss working with the children in the classroom, I am very excited about serving in a different capacity and the challenges it will bring.
