Nancy Von Thaden

I was born in San Francisco and raised on a farm on the ourskirts of Lincoln, CA. After college I married my husband Mark whom I had known since I was 7 years old! We have raised 3 awesome children and are delighted to have 2 grandchildren. After 27 years in this parish I have come to know many people. I joined the staff in May of 2016 as the Liturgy Coordinator and then in August was delighted to become the Coordinator of Youth and Young Adult Ministry. With its many moving pieces I have many people to thank for their support including all my volunteers and fellow staff members. Most importantly I thank my husband of 26 years, Mark and my children Katie, Richard and Jonathan for their understanding of my work hours and sometimes my absence when I am traveling for Mission trips and conferences. The lights of my life are my precious granddaughter, Aubrianna and her brother Logan! I enjoy travelling(especially road trips), reading, dancing, hiking and singing as well as good coffee and cooking!

My favorite parts of my job are the families and young people I get to walk with during their High School time, the adventures that we have on Mission Trip and the growth that happens when we serve right here at home. I also am so privileged to work with some of the best people on the planet who serve this parish as part of our staff and many many volunteers.

I am looking forward to continuing growing my  skills and knowledge in the process of serving you and your families. Thank you for the opportunity to serve our parish in this capacity. I look forward to walking with you all, I am humbled and amazed daily at how good God is and how He makes all things possible when we trust in Him completely!
