Treating them with Christian dignity, The Gathering Inn provides homeless persons a warm meal and a safe and secure place to rest at night year round.
Dozens of area churches from several Christian denominations throughout South Placer County have banded together to offer this service to 50 people per night.
SS. Peter & Paul Church hosts the homeless one or two times each month. The Social Hall is transformed into an inn and parishioner volunteers into innkeepers, preparing and serving meals and providing fellowship for those in need. This is all done under the coordination of a few meal coordinators who then use approximately 6-8 volunteers (in two shifts) to prepare and serve the meal.
