Youth & Family Faith classes begin Sunday, September 24th & Monday, September 25th. Please see the first day information below for all registered participants.
Kindergarten – 6th Grade: On the first day of class, students will be able to locate their class assignment/classroom location on the class lists that will be posted on the windows outside of the Faith Formation Office.
7th-8th Grade & High School Confirmation: All students meet in the Social Hall. Students can arrive beginning at 6:00 PM for “social time & pizza.” Our session will begin promptly at 6:30 PM.
PARENT ORIENTATION: Parents, please plan to attend one of our Parent Orientation Meetings which will be held during your child’s class time in the Social Hall (by the Church).
Nurturing a family of faith is not a spectator sport. We recognize the calling of parents as primary educators and role models to their children. We partner with and support parents to help them engage their families to learn and share their faith.
What does Youth & Family Faith involve?Family Formation Sessions: Over the course of the year there will be three family-centered faith formation sessions. These interactive family sessions will be held in October, November and March during regularly scheduled class times. Parents and students attend together.
Youth Ministry: Launch and Lift Youth Ministry (3rd – 8th grade) meets one Friday each month for fun, food & fellowship.
Parent Formation: Parents are encouraged to attend ongoing formation opportunities held throughout the year. Offerings vary and will be communicated on a regular basis by the Youth & Family Faith team.
Sacrament Preparation: Sacramental preparation for Reconciliation, First Communion and Confirmation is a consecutive two-year process, typically beginning in the 1st grade (Reconciliation/Communion) and the 7th grade (Confirmation). Sacrament preparation is part of the Youth & Family Faith classes.
